SmartPortal is your central hub for managing your contracting life with SmartWork. Here’s a full overview of how the portal works and what it offers.

Your SmartPortal at a Glance

SmartPortal gives you everything you need in one place. Submit timesheets and expenses, upload files, sign contracts, track your holiday balance, and manage your pension all from a single, mobile-friendly platform backed by the same SmartWork team you know.

Timesheets & Expenses

Submitting timesheets and expenses is simple and straightforward. The portal is fast to navigate and fully optimised for mobile, so whether you’re at your desk or on the go, staying on top of your submissions is easy.

Payslips & Payment Alerts

You can receive your payslips directly to your email inbox, and opt in to SMS alerts so you know the moment payment is on its way to your account. Payslips are presented in a clean, clear format that’s easy to read and widely accepted for income verification, making them handy if you’re applying for a mortgage or tenancy agreement.

Contract Signing with Signable

When a new assignment or extension is ready for you, the contract is sent directly to your email for signing via Signable. There’s no need to log into the portal separately; just sign in from your inbox, and you’re good to go.

Payroll & Pension Information

Your payslip clearly shows earnings, with taxable pay labelled as “Additional Taxable Wage.” This wording is recognised by lenders and letting agents, making it straightforward to use your payslip as proof of income when applying for loans, mortgages, or rental agreements.

Pension contributions are handled in line with auto-enrolment guidelines, based on qualifying earnings of £120–£967 per week. SmartWork contributes 3%, and you contribute 5%, and you have the option to make Additional Voluntary Contributions (AVCs) if you’d like to put more away. You can choose to contribute either a fixed amount or a fixed percentage, paid weekly or monthly.

Holiday Tracking

SmartWork operates on a calendar-year holiday cycle, running from January to December. Your full holiday entitlement is accrued throughout the year and paid out when you request it, giving you full visibility and control over your holiday balance at all times.
